Lufthansa flights

Lufthansa

You can usually find the cheapest flight price on lufthansa.com. Exceptions to this may be when you combine flights, when Lufthansa serves as a feeder flight to another airline or when you check the prices of flights on a route where competing airlines fly with Swiss.

When to buy tickets

Lufthansa usually offers the cheapest tickets 3-5 months in advance. Lufthansa often offers good deals in combination with its subsidiary Discover Airlines to holiday destinations.

If you are travelling during the summer holidays, Christmas or major festivals, it pays to buy your tickets as early as possible.

Fare Classes

Lufthansa offers economy and business class on all aircraft. In addition, premium economy and first class are also available on long-haul Airbus A330, Airbus A340, Airbus A350, Airbus A380, Boeing 787, Boeing 747 and Boeing 777 aircraft.

The different classes are further divided into different fare groups, which vary in terms of change or refund options, number of baggage included and other things.

Examples of the differences in economy class fares are shown in the figure below.
