Hand lug gage weighing 8 kg and measuring 55 x 40 x 23 cm plus additional sizes of 40 x 30 x 10 cm are always free of charge.
Checked baggage up to 23 kg is free on all long-haul flights, except on flights to America and on shorter routes in Europe and the surrounding area, where Lufthansa has introduced the "Economy Light" fare with lower prices. Checked baggage is therefore not included in the ticket price and must be purchased or upgraded. The fee for European flights is €15 to €25 online or €30 to €60 at the airport per flight, and $70/$100 for oceanic flights.
Skis will be transported free of charge in addition to your already checked baggage. The exceptions are, of course, the Economy Light fare and flights to the USA.
Lufthansa carries pets for a fee of €50-200 depending on size.
