Dubai International Airport is one of the 10 largest airports in the world in terms of passenger traffic. More than 80 million passengers pass through the airport's gates each year, thanks to the transit flights of Emirates and flydubai, which operate their only bases here.
Dubai Airport is located just 3 km from the city centre and 10 km from the main commercial boulevard.
Flights to and through Dubai can be purchased with all the world's major airlines. However, there are two airlines that are based here.
- Emirates - a premium airline and one of the world's most famous companies - flies from Dubai to all major cities on every continent
- Flydubai - partnered with Emirates, offering additional flights on the busiest routes as well as connections to smaller cities across Asia, Europe and Africa
Low-cost flights mainly to airports 130 km away Abu Dhabi AUH or 30 km away Sharjah SHJ.

Hello, I would like to ask if it is possible to reach the Burj Khalifa within 2 hours from the airport terminal 3 (there and back).
We have 3h to change, I have not been to Dubai, maybe a very stupid question..just if there was someone who could make the turn around.
Thank you, have a nice day.
The airport is quite big - before you run out, then back in, checking... The Burj Khalifa is not next to the airport, so something to transport to it and back. And the waiting time to get in in prime time is easily an hour and a half. Definitely not for me.
