Washington Dulles International Airport in a nutshell

Philadelphia

Dulles International Airport was built in the 1960s as a long-haul replacement to the congested Washington Reagan DCA downtown. The architectural design of the terminal was by the famous Eero Saarinen, and to this day the airport building is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.

United has one of its main hubs at the airport and downtown Washington is a respectable 42 km away.

Direct flights from Washington Dulles go all over the world except Australia.
