Mirador de Abrante is the most visited sight on the island of Gomera.
The viewing platform is located on a 600 metre high cliff above the popular tourist village of Agulo on the north coast.

Views of the cliffs and Tenerife
The Abrante lookout offers incredible and magical views of Gomera's dramatic northern coastline, which is made up of almost perpendicular massive cliffs.
Beneath these cliffs, the village of Agulo is surrounded by small fields, and in the distance on the horizon you can see the unmistakable silhouette of the neighbouring island of Tenerife.
Entrance fees and opening hours
The observation deck with its glass floor is open every day except Mondays from 10:30-16:00.
However, you won't miss out on the views even after closing time.
You can walk along the edge of the cliff throughout the wide surroundings of the observation deck.
How to get there
Mirador de Abrante is about 2 km from the Garajonay National Park Visitor Centre, 15 km from Vallehermoso and 33 km from San Sebastian.
A new asphalt road leads directly to the viewpoint and you can park your car for free just 20 metres from the viewpoint.
The road is not shown on some maps, but it is normally accessible 24/7 and the main road is cut off at the Garajonay National Park visitor centre.
You can also walk from the visitor centre along a 2km marked trail. We recommend using the much nicer but slightly less well-marked northern route - see map.
You can also walk to the viewpoint from the village of Agulo. Although the distance is only 1 km, you will have an extremely steep climb up several hundred steps.
