Hiking trails in El Cedro
The area is a hiking paradise, both for day hikes and for short, less strenuous walks.
The most beautiful trail leads from El Cedro steeply down the valley to the village of Hermigua. It's 3km one way and there are railings along most of the way, but expect a lot of elevation gain.

Another popular trail goes about 1.5 km from El Cedro up the valley, but without significant elevation gain, to the small chapel of Ermita de Nuestra Senora Lourdes.

How to get there
El Cedro can only be reached on foot or by car. There are no bus routes and the nearest bus stop is in the village of Hermigua, 3.5km away deep in the valley.
The road to El Cedro is very narrow, but it is possible to drive all the way to the village.
Most tourists, however, leave their car in the car park in the recreation area about 1 km from the village. On the way back to the car, however, you have to take into account a large elevation gain.
