The small town of Alajeró is located near Gomera Airport in the southern part of the island and welcomes you with an extremely welcoming atmosphere and beautiful views.

This part of Gomera is very dry, so the surrounding hills and valleys are mostly covered with little vegetation.

Alajeró boasts a very nicely landscaped centre indeed, dominated by the small church of El Salvador.

About 1 km south of Alajeró you can climb the small Tagaragunche mountain on foot, with the San Isidro chapel and beautiful views. On the other hand, north of Alajeró is a popular natural attraction in the form of the Drago de Agalán tree.

Alajeró is served by bus line 3 in the direction of the airport, Playa Santiago and San Sebastián.
