The scenic peak, nicknamed Monkey Mountain because of its many inhabitants, is a great place to go for the best views of Da Nang and a bit of nature near the big city.
Tourists go to Son Tra Mountain for easy hiking and the chance to observe unique primates. While most macaques will be seen here, with a little luck you can also spot the rare langur.
Transportation to Son Tra Mountain
There is no public transport to Son Tra Mountain. You will therefore have to drive your own vehicle up the mountain.
However, automatic scooters are not allowed on this road, so you must rent at least a semi-automatic motorbike. Alternatively, it is possible to drive up in a chauffeur-driven car.
