Da Nang is the heart of central Vietnam, so you can expect weather that is typical of the region. It's also right on the coast, so the nearby sea has a big influence on the weather.
You can enjoy tropical temperatures all year round, with slightly cooler temperatures in winter and hotter temperatures in summer.
Unlike northern or southern Vietnam, the rainy season in central Vietnam is relatively short, with September to November being the only time you should avoid due to downpours.
Although the best weather for travelling to Da Nang is between March and June, many travellers combine a visit to Da Nang with other areas of Vietnam where the weather varies considerably. So don't be afraid to travel to Da Nang in the off-season.
