Mallorca's largest sandy beach , Platja de Muro, is located in the north of the island and has even been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness. Its particularly shallow water, very gradual entrance and fine white sand make it suitable for families with children. All along the beach you will find countless sunbeds and umbrellas (approx. 15 EUR per set), but also a wide range of water sports (paddle boarding, kayaks, pedal boats, ...), as well as classic beach snacks.

Platja de Muro flows freely into the town beach of Port d'Alcúdia in the north and Can Picafort in the south. In total, you can enjoy more than 12 km of continuous beach, where you'll find both deserted, uncrowded places and lively centres full of bars and restaurants.
Accommodation
There are two resorts near Muro Beach. The larger and much livelier one with a small historic centre and all the necessary facilities is Port d'Alcúdia in the north, while in the south you'll find the small resort of Can Picafort, which is mostly apartments and smaller hotel resorts. It's considerably quieter than Port d'Alcúdia, but apart from hotels, a few restaurants and a small supermarket you won't find much here.
Cheaper accommodation is in Can Picafort, where prices start at about 59 eur per night for a double room. In Port d'Alcúdia, be prepared from 84 eur upwards.
You can also stay right on Muro beach.
