The Mediterranean weather guarantees relatively constant temperatures - from May to October, temperatures never drop below 20°C and often reach 40°C in the sun! In the winter months, temperatures hover around 15 °C with higher levels of rainfall. In the Serra de Tramuntana, it rains more than in the rest of the island, and temperatures here are also around 5 to 10 °C lower than at the sea or in the lowlands.

So what can we expect in Mallorca weather-wise? When is it rainy and when is it hot and sunny?
- Spring - This time of year is marked by crisp air, very pleasant temperatures ranging from 19 to 25°C and rather few rain showers. It's definitely not for swimming in the sea, but nature is at its most beautiful in spring, green and blooming.
- Summer - Mallorca's high season is summer. The likelihood of rain is slim and the long sunny days encourage water fun in the sea, which is heated to comfortable temperatures. Summer temperatures are normally between 26 and 33°C, with highs in the sun rising to over 40°C, especially inland.
- Autumn - Early autumn is more of a lull in summer and it is possible to swim in the still warm sea until early October. Air temperatures drop slowly at first and are often still above 27 °C at the end of September. During October and November, it cools down to the usual 22-18 °C and it starts to rain more. The end of October, along with December, is the rainiest month in Mallorca, but rainfall is similar to that in the Czech Republic and prolonged rain is rare.
- Winter - Mallorca's winters are quite wet with frequent thunderstorms, but again, the rain tends to be more intense for shorter periods of time rather than prolonged showers. Temperatures in winter rise to an average of around 15°C. Snow is quite rare on the coast and in the lowlands, with snow appearing regularly only on the highest peaks in the Tramuntana mountains.

The best time for hiking, cycling and sightseeing is spring, when temperatures are pleasant and showers are roughly half as frequent as in autumn.
However, the winter months are also ideal for exploring the beauty of the island. In particular, a walk among the blossoming almond trees (February) and the parades during Semana Santa, or Holy Week at Easter (April) are unforgettable experiences. All this is something that will be etched in your memory for the rest of your life.
On the coast of Alcudia (Platja d'Alcudia) in September/October there is a huge number of mosquitoes.
