Cala Millor

Cala Millor

Cala Millor is the largest resort on the east coast of Mallorca and one of the largest on the island. The bustling town is a paradise for lovers of shopping for souvenirs, clothes and sports equipment. In the evening and at night it comes alive with dozens of restaurants, bars and clubs that stay open late.

Nearby is the smaller and quieter resort of Sa Coma, which can be reached by a regular regular bus.

Beaches and swimming

Platja de Sant Llorenç, also known as Platja de Cala Millor or Son Servera Bay, stretches for almost 3km across the resort. The very busy beach is covered with fine white sand and the sea is crystal clear with a comfortable and gentle entry into the water.

A busy pedestrian promenade with dozens of restaurants and shops runs along the entire beach, and of course there are sunbed and umbrella rentals and a wide range of water activities.

To the north are the small artificial beaches of Cala Bona, which is connected to Cala Millor by a pedestrian promenade.

Accommodation

Cala Millor is one of Mallorca's cheapest resorts due to the high level of competition. Especially in apartment houses you can still get accommodation under 73 eur per night in high season, while regular hotels have prices from 92 eur upwards.

We select the best hotels with good value for money:

  • Casa d’Hostes Cala Millor - one of the cheapest apartments right in the centre of town with prices from 40 eur per night
  • Hotel Santa Maria Playa - cheap well rated 3* hotel 300 metres from the main beach
  • Hotel Atolon - the largest 4* resort in the north of Cala Millor right on the beach in a quiet part of town

How to get here?

The resort is about 73km from Palma airport and the drive is quick, well signposted and largely via the motorway. On arrival you can leave your car in the huge free car park, from which you can walk to the centre and the beaches in 5 minutes.

Cala Millor is also easily accessible by bus. The 401 line from Palma and the 412 line from Manacor run here all year round, where you can change to other services to South Mallorca.

During high season, line 424 is also added, connecting resorts all along the east coast of the island.
