Casa Vicens

Casa Vicens is one of Barcelona's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is a magnificent Art Nouveau villa and one of the first important works of the famous architect Antoni Gaudí.

Casa Vicens was built between 1888 and 1889 as the family residence of the manufacturer Manuel Vicens.

In the image of its architect father, Casa Vicens certainly does not deny. The façade plays with all colours, various architectural elements, colourful ceramic tiles and different natural patterns.

Admission and opening hours

Currently, Casa Vicens is open to the public, where you can visit most of the interiors and admire Gaudi's interesting architecture.

It is open daily from 9:30 am. Closing times vary according to the season and range from 16:45 to 18:45.

Tickets bought online for the exact time are €1 to €2 cheaper than tickets bought on the spot. There is no need to buy tickets well in advance, and you can buy your ticket online up to 30 minutes before your scheduled visit.

  • Students under 25 and seniors over 65 - 18 eur

Location and transport

Casa Vicens is located in the Gracia district in the west of the city. The best way to get here is by public transport:

  • Metro - Fontana station about 180 metres - line L3
  • Bus - Riera de Cassoles - Guillem Tell stop approx. 60 metres - lines 22, 24, 87, D20, V17
