Spa World is a huge complex of traditional Japanese baths with thermal springs (onsen) connected with regular pools and an aqua park with water slides.
The complex also offers the possibility of accommodation in classic hotel rooms, but also overnight stays directly in the spa area without having to buy a hotel room.
Onsen Spa
On two floors, you'll enjoy the tranquility of a healing thermal spa, called an onsen in Japan.
The onsens at Spa World are divided into two themed floors - European, with stylings of Greek, Roman and Scandinavian architecture, and traditional Japanese.
Japanese onsens have specific rules and the ones at Spa World are no exception:
- You enter the spa completely naked, no swimsuits allowed.
- The onsen are always separated into male and female sections
- Entry with tattoos is forbidden
Entrance to the onsen is included in the price of the Spa World ticket, see below.
Ganban-Yoku saunas
Outside the onsen floor you will find 8 large saunas, again themed in European and Asian style.
There is a separate charge for the saunas in addition to the general admission fee:
- 800 jpy - weekdays
- 1 000 jpy - weekends
Swimming pools and water slides
The entire 8th floor is dedicated to the regular swimming pools, various water attractions and several slides.
This area is only accessible in a swimsuit. If you don't have one, you can purchase one on site for 600 jpy.
The pools and slides are accessible for a higher entrance fee than the onsens.
Rides on the water slides and other attractions are also charged at 500 jpy. You can also purchase an unlimited pass for 1 500 jpy.
Restaurants and gyms
Inside the complex you will also find a gym and several food-court restaurants serving international and traditional Japanese cuisine.
Some restaurants are open until 3:00 am.
