The Umeda Sky Building is one of the most famous buildings in Osaka and is located in the modern Umeda district near Osaka Station.
It consists of two 170-meter high buildings that are connected by the Kuchu Teien Observatory, also known as the Floating Garden Observatory.
Kuchu Teien Observatory
The observatory is located at a height of 173 metres and although the Umeda Sky Building has taller skyscrapers in the vicinity, it offers a beautiful view, especially to the west and north.
The two-storey observation deck has both indoor and outdoor terraces from where you can take photos without any obstructions.
The way to the observation deck is via a high-speed elevator and escalators in a glass tube that connects the two parts of the building at a height of about 150 metres.
