Don Quijote - Ebisu Tower

Ebisu Tower Ferris Wheel

The distinctive yellow Ferris wheel called the Ebisu Tower dominates the Dotonbori riverfront and is one of the symbols of Osaka.

This attraction is part of the Don Quixote department store, known as Donki for short. This is also the origin of the alternative names for the famous yellow attraction Don Quijote Ferris Wheel.

The 10 best hotels in Osaka

Ebisu Tower was commissioned in 2005 as the world's first oval Ferris wheel.

One ride on Ebisu Tower takes 15 minutes and offers nice views of both the central Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi districts.

However, with a total height of 77 metres, Ebisu Tower is one of the lower vantage points within Osaka and much better views are offered by skyscrapers such as Harukas 300 or Umeda Sky Building.

Entrance fees and opening hours

The Don Quixote observation wheel is open daily from 11:00-21:30. At 21:30 is the last ride.

Expect long lines lasting 45-60 minutes, especially in the evening.

Ticket prices are as follows:
