The medium-sized international airport is located 50 km east of downtown Hiroshima and serves as one of the main entry points to the Chugoku region.
Approximately 70% of the total number of passengers go to the airport Tokyo Haneda HNDwhere the majority of direct flights from Hiroshima go.
Other scheduled domestic flights go to airports such as Narita, Sapporo, Sendai and Okinawa.
