The airport is 50 km from Hiroshima or Fukuyama and 20 km from Mihara.
The centre of Hiroshima can be reached in 1 450 jpy by a frequent bus service or in about 20 000 jpy by taxi. The journey time is approximately 50 minutes.
Public transport - buses
There is no train or subway service to the airport, public transportation is provided by several bus lines.
Tickets for all lines can be purchased from the machines in the arrivals hall (domestic and international sections). Select your destination city on the display (the price and ticket is the same for all stops in that city) and pay in cash only.
You can pay for your ticket at the driver's desk with a VISA or American Express card.
You cannot use the "Visit Hiroshima Tourist Pass" all-day or two-day pass, or any version of the "JR Pass" on any bus route.
There are buses to the airport from many destinations. A list of all routes, including detailed timetables, can be found on the airport's website: hij.airport.jp/timetable.

You have a choice of two routes to Hiroshima.
The line to the "Bus Center" goes directly to the city center and the station is also located near the memorial to the dropping of the atomic bomb. Right next to the bus station you can use the Mielparque Hiroshima *** hotel.
The line to the train station stops on the north side of the station at the "Shinkansen Gate". The station is located in the eastern part of downtown Hiroshima. Right next to the station, stay for example at the highly rated Sheraton Grand Hiroshima *****.
Taxi
The taxi stand is right outside the arrivals hall.
Taxis always run according to the meter and you can pay by card or cash. There is an Uber app in Hiroshima, but you can only hail a standard taxi with the resulting price calculated by the meter.
The price to central Hiroshima is around 20 000 jpy.
