Beach and swimming

Long Beach is arguably the most popular beach on the entire island, so expect ubiquitous activity and ample infrastructure in the immediate area.

The beach itself is wide and long, consisting of a stretch of white sand that's lined with tropical vegetation and palm trees. The beach is suitable for swimming and you can snorkel quite well right from the beach. Vendors on the beach also offer a range of other water activities.

The beach can have larger waves on some days and often suffers from an increased number of miniature jellyfish. These are not dangerous, but their stings can be unpleasant, especially for children.

On the beach many bars and restaurants offer sunbeds and umbrellas for hire, expect to pay around 200 000 vnd. It is preferable to have a drink or cocktail at the bar, in which case you will get the sunbeds and umbrella free of charge.
