Not far from Palma, about 10 km to the south-west, you will find the famous resort of Magaluf, one of the liveliest in Mallorca. Here, the discos and bars run at full blast until the early hours of the morning, the large hotel complexes offer every comfort and the long, wide sandy beaches are ideal for a day out. Magaluf, together with the resorts of Torrenova and Palmanova, form one larger beach centre.
Beachfront resorts with discounts - Magaluf
Magaluf is especially popular with younger people, and apart from the exuberant night parties, you can try just about every water attraction and sport you can think of.
There's also the Western Water Park, a go-kart track and several golf courses in the area.
Beach and swimming
The main and only beach of Platja de Magaluf follows the entire coastline of the town, with a wide stretch of fine white sand stretching for 600 metres, with a gradual entry into the water, calm waters and a wide variety of sporting activities.
Although Magaluf beach is suitable for children, the lively nightlife makes it more popular with young people. A quieter resort is neighbouring Palmanova.
