In Arabic Bahaya al-bujar or "built along the sea", it is here that you can see the typical irrigation system from the Islamic era, which also supplies water to the upper terraces of the shore. This village lies on the border between the sea and the mountains and you will find beautiful viewpoints and 2 quieter beaches.

Cala Banyalbufar beach is more well known. There are signposts leading to it from the centre of the village, a rocky beach surrounded by pine trees growing on the hillside and a rock that provides welcome shade in the summer months. After the rains, a waterfall can be seen down the hill to the beach, but not in the dry season.
The best view is from the Torre des Verger, a 16th-century signal tower that used to signal any unwelcome guests to Soller and Sa Dragonera. Be sure to try the Malvasia, a local dry white wine made from grapes grown in the local vineyards.
