Playa Honda

Playa Honda

Playa Honda is one of the most peaceful beach towns in Lanzarote with excellent accessibility. It is just 3 km from the capital Arrecife and 2.5 km from the airport. Lanzarote ACE.

The best hotels by the beach

Despite its great accessibility and nice spacious beaches, Playa Honda is a really quiet town and compared to other resorts, the beaches are practically empty even in high season.

In the town itself you'll find almost exclusively typical small white houses, a few restaurants and shops including a larger Eurospar supermarket.

Beaches and swimming

The resort boasts almost 700 metres of beach with fine light sand, which is also very wide and generally spacious. The southern part of the beach extends all the way to the runway of Lanzarot airport, making it suitable for aviation enthusiasts.

The disadvantage of Playa Honda may be the access to the sea, which is only possible in its middle part. There are shallow cliffs around the edges which are impossible to get over.

Another disadvantage is the lack of sunbed and umbrella rental, and there are no water sports on offer. Anyway, if you are looking for a quiet clean resort with minimal visitors and very close to the airport, Playa Honda is perfect for you.

Playa Honda Accommodation

Don't expect any big hotels or resorts in the resort, but smaller private apartments, guesthouses and villas mostly with great ratings. Playa Honda is one of the more expensive resorts and prices here are around 110 eur per night. We add tips for specific beachfront accommodation with the best value for money:

How to get there
