Pantai Baron is the place where the endless Indian Ocean meets the jagged coastline of South Java, creating a cozy little cove with a sandy beach and a tourist village.

The bay is the most beautiful easily accessible spot on the Yogyakarta coast.
What to do in Pantai Baron
The diverse and beautiful coastline in the area directly encourages a variety of activities.
Beaches and swimming
Right in Pantai Baron you will find a small but very nice beach with fine golden sand. Thanks to the narrow bay, the waves are much smaller than in Parangtritis.
The entrance to the water is gradual and thanks to the proximity of the beach to the village, you can enjoy the facilities of snack stalls and umbrella rentals.
In the adjacent area you will find another small resort with several very photogenic beaches, which can be reached from Pantai Baron by taxi-motorbike or after about 30 minutes of walking on the road.
Boat trips to the caves
There are dozens of local boats moored in the bay that will take you to the beautiful caves and along the very photogenic coastline full of cliffs, rocks and small coves.
The boats are very small and the waves are often big, so this activity is only for the more adrenaline-focused travellers.
The price of the cruise always depends on bargaining and is usually around 200 000 idr for 30 minutes.
The view from the lighthouse
The beautiful tall white lighthouse towers over the bay and is easily reached after a short walk (about 15-20 minutes).
The lighthouse offers the best view of the wild coastline.
