British Admiral Beach

British Admiral Beach

The beautiful beach with fine white sand is named after the British Admiral shipwrecked off the coast in 1871.

British Admiral Beach is popular not only with tourists but also with locals, as it is located only about 2 km from the largest village of Currie.

Take a two-hour walk along the tarmac road or drive here and walk along the 600-metre long beach.

Like everywhere else on the island, swimming here is for the hardy only - the ocean is very cold all year round and the currents are strong.
