LATAM is one of the strongest airlines in South America, with virtually full coverage of its dense network of destinations, including long-haul routes to the USA, Europe, Australia and South Africa. It is best to buy standard tickets at least 2 months before departure, ideally through Czech search engines, LATAM's website is not very clear and the service support is not so good.

You will still encounter the original separation of airlines when buying a ticket, flights to Brazil are operated under the TAM banner and code "JJ", all others under the LAN banner and code "LA".

For domestic flights within Peru, do not book on the Peruvian or mutation site. While these will offer significantly cheaper prices than the international mutation, these are only subsidized prices for locals. If you purchase such a ticket, you will be charged extra at the airport. A similar rule was in place in Colombia and Chile, but has been abolished. Domestic tickets on the Colombian and Chilean versions of the site are still significantly cheaper, but feel free to buy them.
