The main gateway to Peru, Jorge Chávez Airport in Lima, is located 13 km northwest of the capital's city centre.
Lima Airport is modern, but it is often very crowded and long queues can form for check-in and security on departure. We recommend arriving at least 3 hours before departure.
LATAM, Sky Airline and JetSmart operate most flights from Lima.
From Lima, there are very frequent flights to domestic Peruvian destinations (for example, Cusco or Arequipa are flown several times an hour), regional international routes (mostly to Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador) and long-haul routes.
Intercontinental flights from Lima go to the following destinations:
- Amsterdam - KLM
- Atlanta - Delta
