When to go to Durham

Durham is a small, historic town that attracts tourists with two landmarks in particular - the castle and the cathedral. These can be visited whatever the weather, making Durham a year-round destination.

As the city has beautiful riverside walks and a nice botanical garden, the best time to visit is still outside of winter, roughly from April to mid-October.
