Gothenburg's unique Maritiman Maritime Museum is located in the city centre on the waterfront of the Göta ävl. The museum collects over 15 military vessels, including the largest warship in Scandinavia, the destroyer Jagaren Småland.

All the vessels are accessible and you can tour them, including going underwater on the submarine HMS Nordkaparen.

You can also see the ships from the outside for free while walking along the waterfront.

How to get to the Maritiman

The Maritiman is in the middle of the city, so you won't have a problem walking anywhere from the centre.

About 300 metres in each direction is the public transport ferry port. To the south is Stenpiren and to the north is Lilla Bommens Hamn. Both ports are also stops for trams 1, 5, 6, 9 and 10.
