The main attraction after heavy rains (autumn/winter) is that numerous waterfalls form in this area, which have become a real rarity. The largest and most famous is probably the Es Salt des Freu waterfall. About a 15 minute walk away lies the famous Es Verger restaurant, where people flock from all over the island for their lamb specialties.
How to get there?
The easiest way to get from Palma to Orient is by car, a 35km, 40-minute drive. First you take the main highway Ma-17 and at exit 17 you leave the highway and continue up the mountains on the Ma-2022 or Ma-2100. You can park anywhere in Orient for free.
You can also get here by bus number 331 from the town of Alaró, where you can change trains from Palma. However, the line only runs on weekends and holidays, and there are no buses to Orient on weekdays.
