Lindøya

Lindoya

Another of the islands in the Oslofjord is very different from the popular tourist islands of Hovedøya or Gressholmen.

Search for hotels with a view of the fjord

Lindøya is an island with a quiet village where the locals live permanently. You won't find any monuments or beaches here, just walking paths winding between colourful houses and beautifully landscaped gardens.

Ideally, head to Lindøya Island for a 30-60 minute walk in an extremely peaceful environment. There are no cars here and all locals walk around the small island between the two harbours.

Ferry routes and timetable

To get to Lindøya island, use the B1 ferries which run on the route Aker Brygge - Hovedøya - Lindøya øst - Gressholmen - Bleikøya - Nakkholmen - Lindøya vest - Hovedøya - Aker Brygge.

During summer, the B1 line runs twice an hour, while during winter it only runs once an hour.

Fares are the same as for all modes of transport, see detailed information in the chapter Transport in Oslo.
