The landmark of Tjuvholmen is the beautiful modern building that houses the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art.

The private museum is one of the most visited of its kind in Scandinavia. The museum is housed in a beautiful building designed by architect Renzo Piano.

A few works of art are also always on display on the small grassy patch in front of the museum. These works can be viewed for free.

  • Tram - Aker Brygge stop approx. 600 metres (line 12)
  • Metro - Nationaltheatret station approx. 1 200 metres (lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
