The bay on the south side of the large island offers a stay on a pristine beach with clear water and fine sand. The cove is relatively cut off from the other tourist spots on the islands, so it offers a greater sense of peace and solitude.

Unfortunately, Flora Bay has been experiencing an influx of trash in recent years, so expect the beach to be less than pristine.

Beach and swimming

The beach at Flora Bay is made up of fine sand, with giant boulders lining the sides. The entrance to the clear water is quite steep, making the beach suitable for swimmers. The snorkeling here is not the best of the islands, but you can spot small blacktip sharks.

There are no sunbeds or umbrellas for rent on the beach, but you will find several restaurants and bars to sit in.

Accommodation at Flora Bay

There are a few simple accommodations at Flora Bay. In the evenings and mornings when the day trippers leave, you'll be surprised at how beautiful the beach and sea are waiting for you.

For a unique experience, try staying in the luxury tents at Juita Glamping Perhentian Island.

You can also opt for the Samudra Beach Chalets.

Transportation to Flora Bay

The bay doesn't have its own pier, but small boats can come right up to the shore. It is also connected to the surrounding beaches by footpaths, one leading to Teluk Keke beach and the other over the hill to Teluk Pauh beach.
