You can also use Trenitalia's easy-to-use mobile app (Google Play / App Store).
However, this is not strictly necessary for connections to Siena, as there are only local Regionale or Regionale Veloce trains, for which you just need to buy tickets before departure from a ticket machine or ticket office - note that these tickets must always be marked in the validator on the platform!

By car
If you have rented a car in Tuscany and you will also go to Siena, the main thing you will have to deal with is certainly parking, especially in the confined spaces of the historic city.
Luckily, the city of Siena operates a large free car park, which you'll find at the Medici Fortress, about a 1.5km walk from the main Piazza del Campo.
