Ponte di Mezzo

If you explore the centre of Pisa on foot, you won't miss the main bridge over the Arno River, Ponte di Mezzo. Built in the mid-20th century, the structure itself is unremarkable, but its wide sidewalks offer a spectacular view of the gently curving Arno River and a waterfront lined with old townhouses.
The Ponte di Mezzo connects Piazza XX Settembre, from which the Corso Italia shopping street leads towards the station, and Piazza Garibaldi, from where you can walk through the main pedestrian street , Borgo Stretto, to the Leaning Tower.
