Where to stay in Esztergom

There's no need to break down the locations and specific neighbourhoods suitable for accommodation here. In Esztergom, virtually all hotels are concentrated in close proximity to the Old Town.

So let's get straight to the best hotels in several different categories.

The cheapest accommodation

Smaller guesthouses and hotels in high season will offer 2-bed rooms at prices between 40 eur and 50 eur.

Standard 3* hotels

Do you prefer quality at reasonable prices? Choose from 3* hotels or quality and highly rated apartments with prices between 65 eur and 90 eur per night.

Quality hotels

Even in this town you'll find better 4* hotels, which are connected to the local thermal baths and therefore have a great location right in the centre.

Accommodation in Štúrovo

The Slovakian town of Štúrovo is just 0.5km across the river from Esztergom and many travellers prefer to stay here. Whether for the lower language barrier or simply the lower prices.

The most popular accommodations include Elite Pension right on the main pedestrian zone with prices starting from 35 eur per night.

Hotel prices in Ostrihome

Although the town is small and out of the main European traffic flows, it is still one of the tourist spots thanks to the famous Basilica and the Royal Castle.

This is one of the reasons why accommodation prices here are higher than in similarly sized Hungarian cities.

For a regular 3* hotel you can pay from 65 eur in a 2-bed room in high season, smaller guesthouses will also offer prices from 40 eur.
