For most tourists, this is the first place they see in Australia. Be sure to give Sydney at least a few days to explore. Sydney has everything a city should have. Explore the old downtown of The Rocks, Circular Quay with its iconic Opera House, the adjacent Botanical Gardens and the Harbour Bridge. Feel free to take the ferries to Manly or Watsons Bay.

You must also see surfing beaches such as Bondi, from which take a walk around the coast to Coogee beach. Don't forget to visit Darling Harbour and the main George Street and shop at the Queen Victoria Building. For example, the views from Sydney's tallest building, the Tower Eye, are spectacular. Scenic walks in the city's neighbourhoods such as Surry Hills, Paddington, Glebe or Newtown are really worth it.
