Great Ocean Road in a nutshell

The over 240 km long Great Ocean Road is one of the most famous road-trip tourist routes in Australia and is one of the most visited locations in Victoria and the whole south of Australia.
Officially, the Great Ocean Road starts in the surfing town of Torquay and ends in Warrnambool.
For example, the road passes through one of Australia's most popular national parks with the Twelve Apostles formations with breathtaking views of the jagged coastline, through the vast Great Otway National Park with its beautiful beaches, dense eucalyptus forests and past Australia's oldest lighthouse, Cape Otway.
The nearest major city is Melbourne, which is also home to the large Melbourne MEL International Airport.
