Point Addis is for many travellers the first real stop in the countryside on the Great Ocean Road, apart from the starting point in Torquay.

The rocky headland overlooks two sections of coastline with golden limestone cliffs up to 50 metres high.

Marked paths and steps lead from the viewpoint and car park to both beaches. The beaches at Point Addis are long, wide and, because this place is completely out of town, they are usually completely empty.

Point Addis is a stop for about an hour if you want to descend to the beach, or just 5-10 minutes if you just want to enjoy the views from the headland.

There is a tarmac road to Point Addis and the 2.5km turn off the main Great Ocean Road is well signposted.
