Although Cape Patton is just a small viewpoint right on the main road and you will probably only stop here for 5-10 minutes, it is still one of the symbols of the Great Ocean Road.

In fact, the coastline around Cape Patton is a typical example of what the Great Ocean Road looks like - in one glance you'll see the azure waters of the Indian Ocean, white foamy waves off the dramatically rocky coastline and many shades of green in the meadows and forested hills.

Cape Patton is also a very popular spot for watching sunsets.

The viewpoint can be found about 15 km east of Apollo Bay.
