Easy walks in idyllic countryside

The Stevenson Falls area is extremely popular with families with children, seniors, and those who love complete tranquillity yet good hiking facilities.

A 400-metre long walking trail leads to the falls through a beautiful setting of landscaped meadows, redwood and fir groves.

The trail also passes by the Gellibrand River, which forms Stevenson Falls and which, at 96 km, is the longest in Great Otway National Park.

About 1.5 km from Stevenson Falls, you'll find a popular campground with restrooms, grills and picnic tables.

The campground is free and is one of the busiest in the entire national park.

How to get there

Stevenson Falls is easily accessible by car on a dirt unpaved road, but it is passable with caution for all types of cars.

The turn-off from the main road connecting the towns of Forrest and Apollo Bay is well signposted.

The resort of Apollo Bay is 37 km away, see route map.
