Comfortable and inexpensive buses take you directly to the airport (journey time 40 - 60 minutes depending on the traffic situation).

A more time-saving option in rush hour traffic is to use a combination of a monorail and a train transfer to the centre. This journey takes 30-50 minutes depending on the destination.

Airport buses run on several different routes not only to Osaka but also to other cities.

You can always buy a ticket from the ticket machines at the bus stops (both at the airport and on the way from the city centre) or from the staff directly at the bus stop or on the bus. You can pay by card or cash.

Osaka Monorail

An automated train runs directly from the airport terminal through the northern suburbs to the Kadoma district.

You have to change from the monorail to the train or subway to get to the city centre, so buses are much more convenient. However, use the monorail in the morning or afternoon rush hour, when buses can get stuck in traffic.

Fares

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket machine at the station using cash only or at the ticket office, where you can also pay by card.

Only monorail tickets can be purchased at the ticket machine and you cannot purchase a transfer ticket to another rail or metro line.

It is not possible to use a day pass for the metro or JR Pass on any of the lines listed below.

Taxi, Uber

Only official taxis operate in Osaka, as well as the Uber app, but only regular taxis can be hailed through the app at a metered price.

You can book a car in the arrival halls of terminals 1 and 2.
