Transfer at Osaka Itami Airport

Osaka Namba

Itami Airport is a medium-sized airport, but can also handle large long-haul aircraft, which Japanese airlines also deploy on busy domestic routes.

The area is divided into 2 terminals, but they are connected through the Central Block into one building.

It takes about 7 minutes to walk through the entire airport.

Transfer between flights

Currently Osaka Itami Airport only handles domestic flights, so you will only ever transfer between two routes within Japan.

The transfer procedure is very simple. Once you get off the plane, follow the "Connecting Flights" signs, which will take you to the appropriate terminal and to the escalators leading directly to the departure gates.

  • Average transfer time - 10 to 20 minutes
  • Transfer baggage - will be transferred automatically
  • Security check - no

Airport hotels

The terminal remains closed overnight and it is not possible to stay overnight.

If you are departing early in the morning (before 7:30am), it is most convenient to stay overnight at one of the hotels near the airport.
