As with other premium airlines, Qatar Airways offers free check-in. At the airport, at a self-service kiosk or online.
Check-in at the airport
Check-in at the airport is free and counters usually open 3 hours before your scheduled departure. Check-in closes 1 hour before departure.
Several counters are normally open at the airport, but queues will still form due to the large capacity of the aircraft. For faster check-in, it is better to choose one of the following options.

Self-check-in kiosks
At selected airports, you'll find kiosks where you can check in yourself after entering your booking number and your travel document. You can also choose your seat on the plane free of charge during check-in.
Self-check-in kiosks can be found at the following airports:
- Europe: Copenhagen CPH, Paris CDG, Frankfurt FRA, Geneva GVA and London LHR.
- Asia Pacific: Perth PER, Bangkok BKK, Singapore SIN, Jakarta CGK and Chennai MAA
- Middle East: Doha DOH, Amman AMM, Kuwait KWI and Muscat MCT
Baggage will then be checked in at the baggage-only counter Baggage Drop-off.
Online check-in
Check in online or via an app from the comfort of your home or hotel room. Enter the necessary details at qatarairways.com/check-in and save or print your tickets on your phone. A legible QR code is important.
Online check-in can be completed between 48 hours and 90 minutes before departure. For flights to/from the USA, you can only check in online 24 hours before your flight from Doha.
