The only civilian airport in Kuwait is located 18 km south of the capital Kuwait City. Kuwait Airways and low-cost Jazeera Airways have their main bases here.
It is the smallest of all the airports in the Gulf region, but nevertheless serves as a relatively important hub for travel from India and East Asia to the Middle East or Europe.
