Ko Olina Beach

Ko Olina Beach

Ko Olina is a well-known vacation area in the west of Oahu with several "high-end" resorts and hotels. It consists of four beautiful man-made lagoons protected from large waves and three natural smaller lagoons.

Swimming and beach admission

All beaches are covered with fine white sand and are exemplarily maintained by the hotel resorts. Although all beaches are on resort property, they must be open to the general public free of charge. In addition, all the beaches are connected by a walkway about 2.5 km long, winding through the shade of mature palm trees.

Sun umbrellas and sun loungers are available, but only for hotel guests. There are no bars or bistros for the general public, only free public toilets and fresh water fountains.

The calmest of the beaches is definitely Ko Olina Lagoon 4 on the south coast near the yacht marina.

Beachfront accommodation

Want to indulge in true luxury during your stay in Hawaii, at least for a few days? Then you couldn't have chosen better.

The Ko Olina resort area is located in a very quiet area and offers several large hotel resorts. Prices here range between 366 eur 916 eur per night in a double room.

Right by the beach you can stay in the following resorts:

How to get there

The beaches of Ko Olina can only be reached by car. Even for the public, there is free parking, albeit for only a few dozen spaces, which tend to be occupied from about 8:30am.

You can park for free at Ko Olina Lagoon 1 (see map), Ko Olina Lagoon 2 (see map) and Ko Olina Lagoon 3 (see map).
