One of Honolulu's few historic landmarks is the residence of Hawaii's royalty, Iolani Palace. After the fall of the monarchy in 1893, the Renaissance Revival building was the seat of the provisional administration of the islands until 1969.

Today, the interiors are open to the public daily except Sundays from 9:00am-3:45pm. Tours cost 25 usd, and are free on the first Sunday of each month.

The official website is iolanipalace.org.
