Weather in Honolulu and best time to go

The Hawaiian Islands are located on the northern edge of the tropical belt, allowing them to enjoy year-round beautiful weather. Temperature fluctuations are minimal, so you can enjoy temperatures between 23 and 30°C all year round. Rainfall is also spread almost evenly throughout the year, and it rarely rains all day long.
In Honolulu specifically, however, expect very hot weather along the wind-shaded, heated beaches, so be sure to drink well.
We describe temperatures, rain and seasons in more detail in the Oahu Weather chapter.

When to go to Honolulu
Hawaii, and by extension Honolulu, has no de facto seasonality, it's beautiful all year round and the likelihood of rain or bad weather is slim in all months. Although the Hawaiian Islands officially have a wet season in the winter, Honolulu is only briefly rained on for a few minutes each day.
In Honolulu specifically, however, you can be hard-pressed to find cheap accommodation around Christmas, New Year's and Thanksgiving, when the American crowds head here in droves.
