View of Pulau Kecil

View of Pulau Kecil, Perhentian, Malaysia

Tired of relaxing on beaches and snorkeling? On the smaller of the two islands, you have the opportunity to go to the highest point of the island to see the wind turbines. Prepare for a fairly strenuous hike through the jungle, but you'll be rewarded with spectacular views of both islands and the coastline.

If you continue on foot from the viewpoint further along the trail, you can reach a beautiful and deserted beach. The trail starts at the Marriott Resort or Long Beach and is approximately 1 kilometer long each way. Be sure to wear proper shoes and watch out for monkeys.
