Presidential Palace

One of Indonesia's 6 presidential palaces, the Merdeka Palace, is also located near Monas.
The palace can be found on the north side of Merdeka Square. It was built in 1873 and served as the residence of the Dutch governor in what was then Batavia until 1949.
On the last Sunday of every month you can watch the changing of the guards here at 8am.
The palace is not open to the public.
