It is almost always muggy, with average temperatures between 28 and 32 °C throughout the year.
The highest temperatures can reach up to 33 °C, especially in autumn (October), while the lowest temperatures can drop to 26 °C, but such blessings are not often found in Jakarta.
The local rainy season runs between December and March, with the heaviest rainfall occurring in January.
Summer (June to September), on the other hand, is relatively dry, with August being the driest month, followed by September and July.
The sun in Jakarta rises between 5:30am and 6:00am year-round and sets between 5:30pm and 6:00pm.

When to go to Jakarta
Since few people go to Jakarta as such, Jakarta season is not the most sensible season for your trip.

If Jakarta becomes your main destination, then it's certainly best to go over the summer, preferably in August when the rainfall is at its lowest. July or September is also a good option.
However, even the rainy season need not be a major detriment to your visit; Jakarta is anything but a city you'll be walking in.
Since you'll spend a good deal of your time inside the sights, in restaurants, or in traffic and the ubiquitous traffic jams, the rain needn't bother you. Just wait for it to pass (very rarely does it rain for long periods at a time) and go out when it's not raining.
